Snowstorm covers St. Peter's Basilica

February 7, 2012. (ONLY VIDEO) Rome experienced it's heaviest snowstorm since 1986 this year on February 3rd. The snow started falling  heavily in St. Peter's Square that Friday afternoon. Many people made a point to visit the Vatican to see the Basilica's dome covered with snow.

To get a clear view, the pope's studio window had its curtains pulled back, so all could have a better view of the spectacle.
